System Engineer (m/f)
Location Dresden, Germany
Your tasks
As an experienced System Engineer (m/f) you will be responsible for operational support, administration and user support of Internet applications such as shop solutions, web portals and search engines. You will have sound knowledge of system integration and/or system administration of component-based and distributed applications. You will provide technical support, in the form of error analyses and fault resolution, in cooperation with the first-level and the third-level sub-suppliers, and will also provide users with advice and support on operating the system.
Your profile
You have successfully completed a university or vocational-college course in IT or business IT, or alternatively have trained in the IT sector. You have excellent knowledge of UNIX and/or Windows server operating systems to bring to this role. You also have knowledge of specialist subjects such as J2EE application servers, web servers, SQL databases, mail servers and/or Microsoft products such as Exchange or SharePoint.
You also have the following skills:
- ITIL Foundation certification
- A confident manner and very good target-group-oriented communication skills
- Analytical know-how
- The ability to think and work in an interdisciplinary way
We expect you to be highly customer-, quality- and results-oriented, and to have strong self-motivation and team skills. You will be working largely independently and on your own responsibility. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, dynamism and enjoyment of change. You also have good spoken and written English and German.
